North Central Illinois Council of Governments Receives Grant
IDOT grant allows for evaluation of potential station locations
North Central Illinois Council of Governments (NCICG) received an Illinois Department of Transportation State Planning and Research grant in September 2022. This award was to complete an evaluation of potential station locations for the proposed new passenger rail corridor.
The City of Peoria completed a Passenger Rail Feasibility Study in July 2022. This study identified a potential corridor for new passenger rail service between Peoria and Chicago. Interim stops in the study identified include LaSalle/Peru, North Utica, Ottawa, and Morris.
