Bureau County NHMP – 2020 Update
Bureau County is working with NCICG to update the 2015 Bureau County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. FEMA requires that every 5 years the NHMP be reviewed and updated. The status of the planning process will be updated on this page on a regular basis. Public input on the plan is needed. All meetings held during this plan update are open to the public.
Following a final public, Zoom, meeting which will be held in May the plan will be submitted to IEMA and FEMA for their review and approval. After approval of the plan the participating communities will adopt the approved plan. The 2020 Bureau County NHMP will be in place for 5 years.
