The JAG program, administered by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, was designed to streamline justice funding and grant administration. The program blends funding for Edward Byrne Memorial State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance (also known as ADAA) and Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (LLEBG) programs to provide agencies with the flexibility to prioritize and place justice funds where they are needed most.
Another deadline for equipment will be June 8, 2009. Eligible items are - Mobil Data Computers; In-car Video Systems; Officer-worn (portable) Video Digital Video/Audio Recording Devices; In-car Radio Systems; Officer-worn (portable) Radio Systems.

Applications for FY 2009 BVP funds will be accepted beginning May 13, 2009. All applications must be submitted online by 5:00 pm (Eastern Time) June 24, 2009.
This program is administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency=s U.S. Department of Homeland Security offers one-year grants directly to fire departments for personal protective equipment, training, wellness and fitness programs, and firefighting equipment (including vehicles). Deadline is April 4, 2008.
